My Angel, Cuddle Dog, Smiley, Daddy's Shadow
Dakota is Ebony's buddy. She's a mixed-breed dog,
probably of Border Collie and Shepherd descent. She weighs in at around
65 pounds, although we need to keep her on a diet to maintain her
weight. She's all smiles and long, soft fur.

Dakota was adopted
from the Humane Society while on Death Row as only a pup. Dan
simply couldn't resist the way she showered him with affection.
So he brought her home to be Ebony's best friend. The two are
now inseperable.
I met Dakota at the apartment complex, where she promptly made
herself at home in my lap. She has shown a special affinity for
women, and looks up to me as her mother. Dan was paying close
attention. It was Dakota's affection for me which was the catalyst
for our relationship. |
She has an uncanny
ability to sense when her people are troubled, and will offer
kisses and her soft belly to rest our heads on. Her loyalty never
need be questioned; she is steadfastly devoted to her people.
When she and Ebony play in the back yard, they love to mimic "Clash
of the Titans". She knows she cannot match the greyhound's speed,
yet she has the innate ability to herd, and so will easily head
him off. They run willy-nilly around the flower beds, using them
as an obstacle course |
